Then the word of the LORD came to me saying, “Before l formed you in the womb, I knew (or chose) you; before you were born l sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations”. Jeremiah said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, l cannot speak, FOR I AM A YOUTH”. But the LORD said to me, “Do not say, ‘l am a YOUTH’, for you shall go to all whom l send you and whatever l command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces, for l am with you to deliver you”.

Then the LORD put his hand and touched my mouth, and said to me, “Behold, l have put my words in your mouth. See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, pull down, to destroy and to throw down, TO BUILD AND TO PLANT” (Jeremiah 1:4–10).

“Let no one despise your YOUTH, but be an example among the believers in word,in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Do not neglect the gift that is in you…. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all” (1 Timothy 4:12–15).
